Crazy Busy

I feel like I have really neglected this blog lately, my life has been crazy busy. There has been quite a lot that has happened in the past month. The 1st exciting thing was I made my husband take me to Celine Dion at the Delta Center February 22nd and If any of you know me I love Celine. I have seen her before in Vegas, Tommy on the other hand didn't care for her much that is until he seen her in concert. Oh Ya, by the end he was singing along, I knew I could get him to see things my way :) !! The tickets went on sale in November of '07 for November of '08 but then she had to post pone until this February, Wow that was a long time to make a person wait. She apologized for what seemed to be 10 minutes, what famous person would even care? but she did! The concert was amazing!!!!
Then I was busy getting my Emery All-Star Elites ready for Nationals in L.A. California. We had to raise $5,000 to make the trip so they sold pizzas, and raffle tickets and we hosted a "Night with the stars" where local dance and cheer teams performed. We had concessions and Darwings for prizes. Yes it was a lot of work, but they exceeded the $5,000 thanks to Residents and Businesses of Emery and Carbon Counties, and determination from 16 kids and their parents!!! The trip was well worth it they were amazing, their best performance yet they were proud of themselves. On our play time we had so much fun, we went to Venice Beach & Hollywood and much more. I wont go into all the details but check out the blog and see the slide show. We also got to visit with Tommy's sister and her husband who live outside L.A. we had a good time and my niece and nephew are adorable it was great spending time with them.
Mikah is done with CVJH Cheer and CVJH Basketball she has had a real good year. Now she is getting ready for High School Drill Team Tryouts. She is real nervous, shes been doing pirouettes in the kitchen every night. I know she will do good I personally think she has nothing to worry about but what do I know I'm just the Mom! This is my last year at Canyon View also, I've enjoyed being the Cheer Coach. The interviews for a new coach are on Monday so I will sit in on them and the tryouts are the same week so I have had to organize them also. I hope the girls have fun next year Its hard to leave the 8th graders you get so attached to all of them.
Trace started Wrestling finally! I've been begging him for 2 yrs. but he just didn't want to, but holy cow he is good! I'm so excited. I grew up at wrestling matches with my brothers and yes I was the Ginni pig at home so they could practice. At one time I wanted to wrestle myself, my Dad said I could but I'm sure my mom put the kibosh on that!!! It's so fun watching him he's getting so quick and has some good tricks, him & Tommy practice at home all the time. He is sure Strong for as skinny as he is. Baseball practice starts this next week so they will overlap for a week. The wrestling tournament is on April 2nd. I think next year we will start taking him to tournaments out of town. This year in Baseball he's moving up to Minors, where the boys start pitching, makes a mom nervous but I'm sure he'll do great.
This weekend we are taking the Dazzlers- my 5-11yr old Cheer Team to a Competition in St. George (hopefully warm). We are going to the Fiesta Fun Center before and letting them play and eat. I'm excited for them, this year has been a lot of fun, they are doing some awesome stunts with my 5yr old flyers, and by the way they love it!! No Fear!! Did I mention I love to Coach Cheer, the kids are amazing, They bring a smile to my heart!! Tommy has finally joined in on some of the action and attended Nationals with us and helped with the Show and is going this weekend, he hasn't always loved me doing this because it does take a lot of time!! but at Nationals he finally realized why I do this, the kids!
Ok! Ya I've rambled for far to long, I told you there was a lot!! Hopefully I can get some pictures up. The ones of the concert are with my cell phone so there not that great but we did have great seats.
