Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

Well we finally got the Christmas Tree up last Sunday. Trace did most of the decorating. Its sad to see your kids getting older, Mikah laid on the couch and didn't want to help with the tree. Usually she takes charge and they wind up arguing because Trace didn't put the decoration in the place Mikah thought it should be. So I guess at least Trace got to be the Boss for once, and there wasn't any arguing!! I love Winter, sorry everyone most people dislike it! I love snow, snowmen, Christmas, and of coarse my B-day is also in December. I love building a fire and cuddling up on the couch watching a good movie on a cold day. I love the feeling in December, people seem to be kinder, more giving and we seem to reflect more on the savior. Trace said the other day "Mom you know what the best part of Christmas is? That we get to spend time with our family!" My heart melted!! Then with that mischievous grin said " And the next best thing is the Presents!" I had to laugh. The best thing is being with family. Tyler will be flying in from California for Christmas & we are so glad we love to have him here. We had such a good time last year so we decided to spend Christmas in Bear Lake again. NO PHONES!! YEA!! I hope everyone has a great Christmas and enjoy being with your families I know I sure do. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

I loved this idea I got off Oprah. This is a great idea for that art work of your kids that you don't have the heart to throw away, but what do you do with it all. I've been saving Mikah's since she was in 1st grade and she is now in 9th!!! Well here it is you take a picture of their artwork or I even took a picture of a letter Mikah had wrote to me. Go to Shutterfly.com and publish a book. I love them. You can design the whole thing front & back cover and each Page choosing backgrounds and adding font. It was a lot of fun and my kids love to look at them. And better yet now I can get rid of those piles of papers!!!Priceless!!!

Mikah "Modeling" at Grandpa's Farm

We went to Grandpas farm at had a "Modeling Session". We used Mikah's new camera she got for her Birthday from her Dad. It took me a while to figure out but I think we got some cute pictures and had some fun too!

Trace's Tonsil Surgery

Happy going in!!
Not so happy coming out!! He just wanted his DAD!!
We made it through what seemed to be the never ending week. I couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed with my husband and get off the couch. I didn't dare let him sleep alone. The days he ate pretty good and wanted to play but the nights were non to desirable.

Trace's Flag Football

Trace played Flag Football for the first time this year. His team was the NY Giants, of coarse he would have rather been the RAIDERS!!! It was real entertaining. I think they had more fun on the sideline tackling their own teammates. We had to constantly tell him to pay attention to the game or he wouldn't get put in but he didn't care. I don't know how the coaches- Steven Gordon and John Fiamalo kept their patients!! He finally made some great plays on the last game he didn't get to play in the tournament because he had to get his tonsils out. But he had a lot of fun and that's what matters!!!
